Distinctive and one-of-a-kind works of art created by artist Ryan McAbery using a fine line white ink pen atop reproduction transparencies originally procured from the Parks Department of Oregon.

Mt. St. Helens by Modern Terrain

Drawing on the street and topography lines, Ryan pulls beautiful locally-inspired imagery of everything from the Seattle Skyline to Sailboats on the water to Trees out of the maps with all the detail preserved within.

Hiker (Mt. Rainier Map and Photo) by Modern Terrain

Her original photography is printed on aluminum to become the luminous background to which she affixes the finished acrylic transparency to become a 3 dimensional floating frame that is suitable for indoor or sheltered outdoor mounting.
