Call for Artists
Show Your Work at The Handmade Showroom
2nd Friday Belltown Artwalk / 4th Friday Downtown Artwalk
The Handmade Showroom is now hosting monthly rotating artist features and trunk shows as part of Seattle’s art walk community.
We’re looking for artwork in the following categories:
- Wall art – original paintings, illustration, photography, mixed media
- Visual art – sculptural, decorative, home decor
- Product-based work – functional, giftable, retail-ready collections
We host two different types of artist features each month, each with a slightly different focus and format. Please read below to see which one fits your work best.
🎨 2nd Friday Belltown Art Walk
2D / Visual Art - Featured Artist Exhibitions
Best for:
Painting, illustration, photography, mixed media, wall art, sculptural or visual fine art, and home decor pieces.
How it works:
- Opening reception at The Handmade Showroom on 2nd Friday, from 4pm–7pm
- You must be present during your opening night
- All work will remain on display for approximately 3 weeks
- All work is sold on consignment at a 50/50 split*
- At the end of the exhibition period, all work must be picked up so we can prepare for the next artist
Drop-off & Installation
Drop-off and installation must take place the week of your show, Monday through Thursday, by appointment. We’ll coordinate exact timing with you once your show is scheduled.
Important to know:
Our hope is always that some artists will be a great long-term fit for our shop, but continued representation is not guaranteed. Because our wall space is limited, most shows will be temporary, rotating exhibitions.
🛍️ 4th Friday Downtown Art Walk
In-store Trunk Shows & Product-Based Artist Features
Best for:
Product-based artists, designers, and makers whose work is functional, giftable, and retail-ready.
How it works:
- A 6ft table (or equivalent) and a chair will be provided
- Setup for the evening will be between 12pm and 3:30pm the day of your show
- You’ll stay with us for your opening night on 4th Friday, from 4pm–7pm (you must be present during the opening event)
- You may leave your work with us to show and sell through Sunday
- All work is sold on consignment at a 50/50 split*
- At the end of the exhibition period, work must be picked up on Monday (or by arrangement)
Longer-term opportunities:
Our hope is always that some collections will be a great long-term fit for our shop and may lead to future wholesale orders or ongoing representation. However, because our display space and buying capacity are limited, this isn’t something we can always offer.
💰 *About the 50/50 Split

Payments for items sold will be made electronically by the 5th of the month following the return of your collection.
We do not charge application or participation fees.
