Featured Artist: Chickenscratch Jewelry by Lisa & Scott Cylinder

Oooh, wonderful new designs alert! We adore the completely unique and ridiculously fun mixed media pieces of Chickenscratch Jewelry. This wonderful duo met while studying Jewelry and Metalsmithing at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and founded their studio in 1988! 

Check out this awesome unicorn brooch below; shining majestically with a silver-plated brass body, gold leaf hooves and horn, pinkish purplish mica power-coated mane and tail, and a sparkly blue eye disc around a cast resin yellow eye. So unique!

Or how about these incredible earrings?! The darling cast sterling silver whales (matching necklace available) sway gently below their faceted fumed blue glass bead spouts...

Lisa & Scott have developed a unique patination process that enables them to achieve their rich colors, and each piece has been joined with silver solder for strength and durability.

Many pieces incorporate clever cold-joining techniques, as well. Found objects and one-off materials add to the individuality of every design.
